For residents with special dietary requirements, our in-house dietitian will create a menu of tasty, nutritious foods that follow doctor’s orders.

Meet Our Dietitian



Our licensed dietitian and nutrition therapist heads the dietary staff at Verrazano. With a bachelor of science in foods and nutrition, she focuses on implementing new, exciting meal ideas for individual patients, so eating healthy is a joy, rather than a chore. As an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, in addition to her active charity work as a fundraiser to support the American Diabetes Association, she has a special passion for matching delicious foods to every resident’s palate.

Nutritious, Individualized Meal Plans

Because our residents come to Verrazano from a variety of backgrounds, our skilled staff interviews each new resident, while regularly checking in with long-term members of our community. We will speak with you about your likes and dislikes, medications, health conditions, or food allergies that may require you to exclude or include certain foods in your diet. Our goal is to take a closer look at the nutritional content of the food you consume each day so that your diet is as healthy as it is delicious.
